CELEBRATE...THE PASSING OF TIME

To Celebrate J.B.'s birthday recently, we headed up the mountain to the beautiful, unique New England National Park...

Hints of the coming winter at Ebor Falls...my big gypsy shawl - pre-loved, discovered at a market - wrapped over $5 op shop jeans; "Avalon", black cord velvet jacket named after lovely local girl who was willing to part with it to help fund her trip to New York...my gorgeous handmade glass earrings from west coast South Australia, a gift from a friend during my breast cancer treatment. I love the way the light plays with the glass and the smiles the earrings bring to other people's faces...

Recycling, rebirthing clothes and accessories...Fabulous

Near freezing, dark,
Gloves, beanies, scarves...
Breath vaporising,
Hands wrapped around
mugs of steaming tea...
And then -
Sunrise.

The colours of Mother Nature's
palette.
 Awesome...
Ephemeral...

From alpine (1,564 metres) to sub tropical as the
escarpment drops away...
Food for the soul...

Wright's Lookout - amazing plateau, incredible bonsai type vegetation...
And the views go on forever...

Sharing the Lyrebird's domain...

The air thins,
My breath is staccato,
A damp wall hovers beneath me.
It exhales and settles
Like a billowing quilt...
